After quite the break, blame other projects,not my lazyness, we are back, now with engy. As you may remember, engy is one of the most conterversial classes in terms of weapons. We got the Gunsliner, the Short Circuit, the Pompson, and that is just one from each group. SO, remember, if you want to edit this guide like the rest just leave a comment with the ratings of your choosen weapon(s) and a small phrase of why so. Ok, lets GO.

Panic Attack

Overall Score: 2.8/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 2/10- ''Shouldnt we just give up, partner?''

Agent Walther: 4,5/10 "Actually, it's slightly better on engineer than on other classes"

Landeyx: 0/10 "N-O-P-E"

Sunrist: 5/10- ''This weapon is really fun but otherwise, if you try to play seriously, you'll end up dead before you can fire.''

Sir Spookington the Third: 1.1/10- ''Don't even bother using it.''

Ted.bear: 0/10- ''It's harder to aim and loads less ammo than stock, and rewards a squishy class for getting low health. Terrible design.''

Spanish Inquistion: 3/10 - "If your going as battle engi it's not that bad,but if you're going,just use the widowmaker!

Cpt. Haxray: 4/10- ''Is still really frigging bad. The concept of the weapon will never work. Give this exact rating for all panic attack variants, except for heavies. Heavy gets a 2/10.''

Puke Nuke:6/10- "now a thing" (c) Uncle Dane. Not very bad, but it's evenly hard to use.''

Pomson 6000

Overall Score: 5.7/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 6/10 - ''Actually usefull if you know how to use it. Just dont go Anti-Fun engi, that isnt good for anyone.''

Agent Walther: 5/10 "Banned in competitive, if i remember it right. Nuff said."

Landeyx: 8/10 "Look above me,its banned in competitive BANNED, it means that this weapon is 2OP4you"

Sunrist: 6/10- ''It shoots lasers....so i guess it's good?''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 5/10- ''Like it alot more after it has been nerfed''

Ted.bear: 2/10- ''Since the nerf it's become not cancerous, but that was its only viability. Now there's no reason.''

Cpt. Haxray: 8/10- ''Im unable to give a full review on this, due to not knowing how the new uber/cloak removal works. However, to give a review on the weapon itself, its a reasonble sidegrade to the stock. Infinite ammo and more 'ranged' capabilites for less overall damage at close range.''

Frontier Justice

Overall Score: 6.9/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 4.5/10- ''The crits just put way to much pressure on me.''

Agent Walther: 8/10 "Pair with the gunslinger for no fun allowed engy"

Landeyx: 10/10 "My personal weapon together with the widow maker,can't live without this."

Sunrist: 5/10- ''Although it makes you more vulnerable when you have no sentry, you just need to get some crits and you can seal the deal since the crit shots of this weapon DON'T HAVE falloff! It's a bit too good.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 7/10- '' ''no random crits'' Balanced!''

Ted.bear: 6/10- ''Has its place. This one is just preference.''

The Spanish Enquisition: 8/10 - ''It outclasses the Direct Hit in damage. Need I say more? The clip size is a problem though.''

Cpt. Haxray: 7/10- ''The major issue with the frontier, outside of requiring your sentry to get kills before being downed(a rather hard task in comp, believe it or not), is the fact engie as a class isn't very durable. So its hard to actually make the crits worthwhile.''

Puke Nuke: 7/10- ''no excuse. For people who dont spam shotguns - straight upgrade. But crit mechanic doesnt sometimes do the work, sorry, offensive engineering.''

Shotgun

Overall Score: 7,2/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 9/10- ''Never leave home without it''

Agent Walther: 7,5/10 "Useful if you're unable to handle the widowmaker or just don't want to waste your metal"

Landeyx: 6,5/10 "Frontier justice without crits"

Sunrist: 7/10- ''Good ol'reliable Shotgun. So you can kick asses without a sentry.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 5/10- ''It's good, but outshined by other shotguns''

Ted.bear: 8/10- ''Never a bad choice, but not always the best choice. Ususally defensive nests call for the Rescue Ranger. A good engineer with this can fight almost anyone.''

Spanish Enquisition: 7/10 - ''Statistically the best damage dealer, but kinda pointless when you have a sentry''

Cpt. Haxray: 8/10- ''A perfect example of stock being the most balanced.''

Puke Nuke: 7.5/10 - Overall decent attack weapon

Widowmaker

Overall Score: 7.4/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 7/10- ''A direct upgrade for people who cain aim...''

Agent Walther: 10/10 "A direct upgrade from every hitscan weapon ever"

Landeyx: 10/10 "∞<- this is the infinity symbol"

Sunrist: 7/10- ''Shoot, get metal back, repeat until you have no metal and die. Respawn and keep going.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 7.5/10- ''Low risk high reward in my opinion.''

Ted.bear: 4/10- ''Takes the resource that you need for doing the thing engineer does to do the thing scout does. Play scout. Don't use the widowmaker.''

The Spanish Enquisition: 8/10 - ''Bottomless clip shotty, but pointless at long ranges where you're going to get like 3 metal back''

Cpt. Haxray: 6/10- ''While the widowmaker seems to give a way to regen ammo, the matter of fact is that it becomes dangerous to build any sorta sentry, due to the toll it takes on your ammo. Using it with the wrangler is sucide. Best used with Gunslinger, but even then, its just not very practical.''

Rescue Ranger

Overall Score: 7.8/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 8/10- ''The most usefull of all shotguns. But that doesnt mean its the best one.

Agent Walther: 7,5/10 "More of an tool than a weapon"

Landeyx: 8,5/10 "Good for defensive statuses"

Supershadow30: 6.5/10 - "Good paired with wrangler/rescue ranger, because lets you sentry jump and teleport to redeploy your whole nest at a totally different place, at the cost of a bunch of health and 100 metal for one sentry or 200 for sentrispenser."

Sunrist: 6.5/10- ''A fun and useful weapon, if you know how to use it, which isn't my case.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 8/10- ''Probably my go to shotgun if I have to nest''

Ted.bear: 9/10- ''Almost a 10. This weapon almost remade the engineer class when it was created.''

Cpt. Haxray: 8/10- ''This thing used to be a perfect 10/10 due to how overpowered it was combined with the wranger. But with the recent nerf to it, it is much more inline with the other shotguns.''

Puke Nuke: 9/10 - ''Best attacking and defending weapon. 60HP/bolt allows to keep most buildings in most situations. Minis+RR=Best attack combo confirmed since sliced bread.''

Short Circuit

Overall score: 4.8/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 7/10 - ''I just love how little editing I have to do on the secondarys since its not that many weapons. Oh wait... *Sees Meele weapons comming* ♥♥♥♥...''

Agent Walther: 5,5/10 "Useful against demos and soldiers, but that's it"

Landeyx: 8/10 "Piss off people"

supershadow30: 4/10 - "Pretty good and op, able to destroy lots of stickies, rockets, or even jars of piss, and NERFED. Now useless. What made it so good was the firing rate and the low cost of missing (5 metal), now it's a not-so-good relic of the good ol' times, costing 15 metal on every projectile-destroying shot, firing at a 0.5 seconds interval (a lot, even the 'nade launcher fire faster) and cannot be upgraded to fire faster in MvM nor x10. The only good things is that alt fire can target invisible/disguised spies and target as much players/projectiles as wanted at once."

Surnist: 4/10- ''Doesn't have enough interesting features so i want use it. Too bad.''

Sir Spookington the Third: 5.5/10- ''Not that reliable when you have to build a sentry gun since it drinks metal''

Ted.Bear: 3/10- ''Was good enough at the beginning. Then it was fantastic. Now I'm spoiled.''

Cpt. Haxray: 2/10- ''Currently, this thing is an utter piece of ♥♥♥♥, like it used to be. Unless valve does another drastic change to it, expect it to remain the most useless weapon in engie's arsenal.''

Pistol

Overall Score: 6.9/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 4/10 - ''Why would you want a pistol when you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sentry''

Agent Walther: 7,5/10 "Like, a bazillion ammo"

Landeyx: 6/10 "Stock with infinite ammo"

Surnist: 8/10 - Always reliable and a good spychecking tool, really helps me out when i need to get back or deal cheap damage.

Sir. Spookington the Third: 7.0/10- ''I always use it because it's pretty reliable when you don't have shotgun ammo left''

Ted.bear: 8/10- ''Surprisingly high damage, comparable to the dps of a shotgun at a higher'' range.

Cpt. Haxray: 8/10- ''Can't argue with a 12 clip, 200 ammo reserve pistol. A really under-rated sidearm.''

Wrangler

Overall Scores: 8.4/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 9/10 - ''Even after the sad nerf, it still is the best option for defence. Or attack. Or anything by that matter.''

Agent Walther: 8/10 "Still good. Just not as perfect."

Landeyx: 10/10 "A soldier spams you with rockets you take your wrangler and shoot rockets at him.
or: a heavy walks past your minisentry,you take your wrangler and kill the heavy in 1 second"

Glitchfire: 10/10- ''would airshot that soldier again.''

Ted.bear: 8/10- ''Used to never take it off. Now I find myself using pistol more after the nerf. Still is very good.''

Cpt. haxray: 8/10- ''I honestly find this weapon a little over-rated. Sure, it allows you to remote control your sentry, but it completely removes the auto-aimbot the sentry normally has, and it also renders you completely devoid of an actual secondary. Still a great weapon.''

There arent any bad meele engi weapons, only bad uses to them.

Eureka Effect

Overall Score: 5.5/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 4/10 - ''And the award for the weapon changed the most goes to...''

Agent Walther: 3/10 "Lvl 3 sentry? Give me 5 minutes..."

Landeyx: 7/10 "Teleport to spawn with full ammo and hp,teleport to your tele entry or exit and upgrade ur sentry in 5 seconds"

Surnist: 6/10- ''This weapon had its fair of changes, but now, it is way better and can be a great tool for all engineers.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 4/10- ''Don't bother using it when you'll get used to it it'll change agian.''

Cpt. Haxray: 5/10- ''Really only works for ninjaneers, and such a play style is mostly for the lols anyway, and only works against a really unaware set of enemies.''

Gunslinger

Overall Score: 7.1/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 5/10 - ''Well, let the hate flow through you... But for actual talk, its a fun alternative for the classic style of engineer play. I mean, fun for the engineer of course.''

Agent Walther: 8/10 "Who needs the big guns anyways?"

Landeyx: 10/10 "Why do you think this is Muselk his nightmare? Why hate it?

Surnist: 7/10- ''It is now a balanced weapon after the gun mettle! I never thought Valve would balance it.''

Sir. Spookingtoon the third: 6/10- ''More acceptable to fight agianst after the nerf''

Cpt. Haxray: 7/10- ''The construction rate really damaged this weapon. Its now much more situational, but its certainly not unusable, and more viable than the eureka effect.''

Wrench

Overall Score: 7.3/10

Agent Walther: 7,5/10 "Nice, but not the best"

Southern Hospitality

Landeyx: 7/10 "Bleeding is VERY usefull,otherwise nothing"

Surnist: 8/10- ''The fire vulnerability isn't that much of a con, except if you don't have a sentry ready, otherwise the bleeding really helps with every enemy.''

Sir. Spookinggton the Third: 8/10- ''never really used it but the downside is not that bad''

Cpt. Haxray: 8/10- ''Its downside comes into play a lot more than you think, at least in comp. Pyros are the fall back class for when solider, demo, and heavy are down but you still REALLY need to get rid of a nest. When a ubered pyro is coming for your nest, you probally dont want to burn to death before your own pyro knocks him back.''

Jag

Overall Score: 8,8/10

The Crazed Buttstaber: 10/10 - ''Waiting for the obvious nerf in the next update.''

Agent Walther: 7/10 "Good for rollouts, i guess, but hard to keep the nest alive"

Landeyx: 10/10 "Scout engi"

Surnist: 6/10- ''It is now, too good compared to the normal wrench and is the best wrench to use in attack. Which is a big problem, let's hope there will be a nerf soon.''

Sir. Spookington the Third: 9/10- ''deserves all the praise for being the best wrench''

Epicleeb: 10/10- ''Jag. Clear upgrade from all other wrenches. Eureka only used in weird super aggro engy loadouts and stock if theres already a massive nest. All the downsides are offset by the fact it has faster swing time which helps with EVERYTHING. I pair this with the rescue ranger so the slower repair time doesn't affect it. Will probably get nerfed in next update tbh.''

Cpt. Haxray: 10/10- ''(Still overpowered): Even after the 'nerf' with sappers taking longer to destroy, the jag is still straight up the best engie wrench. It builds faster than any other wrench, the repair rate and damage pentally are negiable due to the swing rate increase.''

Golden Wrench
