Section 1 The basic math
Placing a power block, you get 140 e/sec regeneration. If you stick a second one to it X you get -238 e/sec regeneration, which means +98 e/sec. Although if you stick another one to them in a line formation, then you get 98+13=111, so you have a total of -351 e/sec. On the 4th block you get 111+13=124, so in total -476 e/sec and on the 5th you get 124+13=137, so in total -615 e/sec. To round that up, it adds the previous amount +13. This means after the 6th block, a 6-block line is more efficient than randomly placed 6 blocks and the more blocks you add in a line the more efficient is gets (because of +13) This is the most efficient way however unless you have a ship that is a line, this will not always be the best way. Putting the power generators in a L and T this is almost as efficient but is more compact. unless it is a T or an L the power generators can not touch. Instead you can put power capacitors this is more efficient and works well.

Section 2 Power Systems
Here are 2 rows of 1 X 15 power generators the regeneration = 5171 this way it is the most effective but is not the most compact, so unless you have a big ship with a line for a bottom or a power room at least this will not work well.
The other way is the most compact but is not the most efficient compared to the line but is the most efficient to any other build. which is L's and T's i start with a 1 X 5
and extend down to make an L by 4 so it = 5
Then on the starting block i add 4 more to make it into sort of a T this also works as well as an L and a propper T.
I repeat on the other side, and the power is not as much as the 30 in total to the lines but it = 4223
As you see 5171 is better than 4223 but depending on what your ship looks like you may not be able to do the line way.
You can get creative with this method as well, this way is much more compact and better than a cube, there are a total of 90 power systems = 12671 e/sec regeneration.
This is what most people do which i have scaled down to a 5 X 5 and it is filled in all the way as well so there are a total of 125 and the regeneration is 4911, do you see the big difference
Where there are spaces instead of having it blane or adding more power generators you put power capacitors like so and this is the propper way to make a power room. The power capacitors can touch the power generators or be 1 block bove them as long as they are touching they count, but just like the power generators the capacitors can not touch each other.
Both of these ways work just fine.

I didn't know p. capacitors worked the same way!

it wasn't as impressive as i would had liked when i did a local match with my brother the pirates love him and when defending us my ships took massive damage but still stood

Oh, but a kilometer is still impresiive

it might have been long as a titan but the shields and the weapons did not match up to it just the length
Karate Guy 16. aug. 2015 kl. 10:07
I think a kilometer long ship would be a Titan using bench's system, but I suppose the what really matters is the creators conventions
