Chaac and Tlaloc are two Mayan gods. Chaac is the god of lightning. He is well know for striking clouds to produce thunder and rain. Tlaloc is the god of rain. Out of the two gods Tlaloc was the most feared Mayan god of the two due to his ability strike thunder on those who opposed him. His thunder is depicted as a serpent that he wields. Together these are the Mayan gods that rule over the skies. Chaac is the lightning god on the left of the skin and Tlaloc is rain god on the right with his teeth going through the clouds.

I wanted to capture some of the aesthetics of Mayan architecture and art. So I decided to recreate the Mayan god Tlaloc. During the creation process I felt the skin was incomplete, so decided to do two gods. Chaac and Tlaloc. I gave Tlaloc a more background Mayan sculpture look so that the aestheic of the two gods wouldn't clash too much. I wanted to balance the negative and positive space of the weapon.

(Note: Some parts of the gun were colored darker to allow the skin to look natural and more uniform ingame.)
